Plaids make for glorious needlepoint. They are graphic, they can be customized in so many ways, and they look great in any decor. Best of all, they are incredibly easy needlepoint. By stitching stripes in both directions the plaid emerges.

Now, Janet Perry, whose "Birthday Plaid" project is one of her most popular chart packs and classes is making a new service available to stitchers everywhere.

You can get a individually charted plaid for yourself at affordable prices!

There are three kinds of plaid packs available, all for the same price.

Tartans Pick any tartan in the Tartan Registry to create a plaid. You specify the clan or plaid you want. many registered tartans are already charted. You can choose one of these from our list.

Personal Plaids Commemorate a new birth, wedding, or new home with a plaid created specifically for the occasion. These unique plaids can use numbers or letters to develop a unique plaid. Popularly known as "birthday plaids," these make a very special gift.

Name your plaid Is there a plaid your really love? Maybe it's a fabric in your house. Get a plaid charted to make coordinating pillows in needlepoint. Maybe it's your husband's favorite old plaid shirt. Make him a plaid mini-sock to match. If you can send a piece of fabric or a picture, Janet will create a custom plaid chart for you.

Once you have picked a plaid, choose the thread to use and ten days later you recieve your custom guide.

The plaids are available with instructions for either needlepoint or cross stitch. Even eginning stitchers will find our tested instructions easy to follow.
