Napa Needlepoint specializes in creating innovative stitch guides which are a pleasure for your customers.

A number of preprinted stitch guides are available for popular canvases. These are either packaged as project packs in a zipper bag or as books (noted) with comb-binding. The list describes the offerings. Please call or email me for pricing information.

Custom Stitch Guides in three levels are available for shops. All guides have custom headings for your shop. Our stitch guides are clearly written, customized to your inventory (I don't use threads you don't carry), and are designed to be useful to the stitcher. we can also do guides for clubs (one guide covering several canvases) or exclusive guides for you.

Stitch Guides and Maps always contain:

• diagrams for all but the most basic stitches
• "Lazy Man's" approaches to difficult techniques like French Knots, beading, etc. which your customers will love.
• step by step instructions on how to stitch the canvas

I offer three levels of Stitch Guides.

Background Stitch Guides are inexpensive and designed for those canvases and stitchers where a lovely background in a beautiful thread is just the thing to make the canvas sing. They are designed to retail at around $2.00. Each Background Stitch Guide includes directions and a diagram for doingthe background stitch as well as a thread suggestion. Just staple one to the canvas and go!

Stitch Maps are simple. They include diagrams of stitches, a guide to where they go, and a list of suggested threads. I do take into account your likes and dislikes in this matter.

They are the least expensive option.

Stitch Guides have more discursive material on the canvas, along with everything in the Stitch Maps. It's more like a project book for a class, or like my project books. There is also a higher level of stitch guide, Stitch Guide Classes, which has additional material.

Prices for stitch guides and maps start at $30 and are priced at based on the actual canvas. If you are interested, please email me with details about the canvas.

Once I have written a stitch guide for you, you may get additional copies of it by paying an individual royalty. I do not market guides done for shops to individuals.

If individuals contact me about doing a stitch guide, I will only do individual guides in conjunction with a shop. If you are interested, please contact me.
