Stitch Sampler Mantle Stockings

These two mantle-size stockings are a delightful introduction to the world of specialty threads and stitches for needlepoint. The Scotch Stitch Mantle Stocking (left) has seven different variations of Scotch Stitch using velour threads, silks, Watercolours and metallics. The Cashmere Stitch Mantle Stocking (not pictured) has eight different variations of this popular stitch using similar threads.

Each finished stocking is about 6" x 9", so they make great holiday decorations or "Grandma-sized" stockings. Books contain instructions on making your own color scheme based on a skein of overdyed thread.
