Needlepoint
Having a needlepoint stitch guide is so wonderful for stitching a canvas. But having a stitch guide with instruction by the writer and learning how to pick your own threads and stitches is close to needlepoint heaven.
These sessions are popular at retreats and seminars, but how often can you learn and needlepoint in what some people consider "the most beautiful place in the world" -- Napa Valley?
Popular needlepoint stitch guide writer and teacher, Janet M. Perry is now offering a limited number of private or small group sessions in Napa Valley which do just that. Book a session, send your canvas, and get the stitch guide and two hours of instruction for a discounted price.
The stitch guide is complete. It's comparable to Janet's published stitch guides.
At your session, you pick up the stitch guide and hand-painted canvas. Then you get additional tips about the guide and instruction about how to pick threads and stitches with lots of needlepoint as examples.
This opportunity is as unique as the Napa Valley setting. Nestled between two ranges of mountains, Napa is the premier wine-making region in the United States. But it's natural beauty isn't just from grapes. Beautiful weather and gracious homes combine to make it someplace special.
Prices for these Private Session Needlepoint classes begin at $75 and are dependent on the canvas you send in.
Sessions must be booked a minimum of six weeks in advance, so the stitch guide can be written.
All dates are subject to availability.
If you are planning a trip to Napa, or if you live in the Bay Area, the Central Valley, or Northern California, consider taking a break from wine-tasting for needlepoint.
